Simple Deception

Here is a simple, clever toolkit an author can use when a rotten character deceives others.  Have the character alternately: lie, distort and fail to report.  When none of those serve alone, toss in a personal attack as an opening gambit. The number of different possible phrasings will be endless, but the principle remains simple, quick and loathsome.  Especially when repeated.

Can’t imagine why this occurred to me after listening to a few TV newscasts… .
